In September 2024, Candy Cane Brownie evolved from a cookie to an actual limited time offer (LTO) dessert brownie. The new dessert is described as “a rich brownie topped with a peppermint white drop buttercream, complete with a drizzle of semi-sweet ganache and a crunch of candy cane pieces.”
Here is a review from someone that tried the tester when it was in testing, “I’d give it a 6.5/10. Mine was greasy, which was odd. The brownie was good. Not cake-like. Fudgy. But there wasn’t much peppermint flavor. I don’t love really really strong peppermint flavor in chocolate desserts, but this was almost none. But again, the brownie was good. Just greasy weirdly.”
In August 2023 Crumbl was clearly testing out cookies for the upcoming Christmas holiday season. They tested Peppermint Ice Cream and Candy Cane Brownie. This cookie is described as “a deliciously rich chocolate candy cane cookie topped with smooth peppermint buttercream, chocolate ganache and crunchy candy cane pieces.”

Honestly I loved it! Mild mint flavor and I love the texture of the soft buttercream frosting (seemed more like a mousse) and the hard chocolate on top. It is a chocolate cookie base so nothing new there.
