In the final weeks of the summer of 2023 the tester cookie at many Crumbl locations was Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. We believe this will be a popular cookie in the fall or winter of 2023/2024 if it goes on the main menu.
This is the explanation of the cookie when it was a tester in 2022:
“I was very excited by this concept because I love chocolate raspberry truffles. But Crumbl’s chocolate base is not my favorite. Overall, the cookie was good but could be improved. It’s a chocolate cookie with a chocolate/raspberry “filling” and chocolate whipped topping dusted with cocoa powder. The edges of the cookie were dry but likely because the bake time had to be long enough so the inside with a filling wasn’t just doughy and underbaked. The fluffy topping is way better than a super sweet buttercream so that was enjoyable and not too sweet, nicely balanced. But the “filling” was lacking. The flavor was great but you needed 5x as much. You only really tasted it in the center bites. It would be better spread on top, in between the cookie and the whipped topping and/or by adding a raspberry preserves drizzle on the very top, kind of like the raspberry cheesecake cookie (along with the filling). I just wanted the raspberry flavor amped up.”
The cookie is described as “A chilled chocolate cookie filled with a chocolate cream cheese frosting and raspberry topping”. The fact that this has been a tester twice tells us that it likely won’t be on the main menu any time soon.
