UPDATE: Mallow Sandwich ft Oreo will return to the Crumbl weekly rotating menu during the week of August 4-9, 2025.
The Mallow Sandwich ft Oreo cookie was the one that changed the Crumbl Cookies business model. They released this sandwich cookie for the first time ever during the week of June 28 – July 3, 2021. It was Crumbl’s first sandwich style cookie. This was the week prior for July 4th weekend that summer and Mallow Sandwich ft Oreo was a viral sensation that sold out everywhere. One of the main reasons it sold so well is the fact that it was two cookies with a mousse in the middle. Two for the price of one and plus some! This was a time when there were many less Crumbl locations. At that time, there were around 300 locations compared to 1100 locations in the summer of 2025.
The second release of Mallow Sandwich ft Oreo was also a success which caused stores to sell out, once again (read below). This was the week of August 22-27, 2022. Crumbl corporate then waited a full 16 months before running the Mallow Sandwich ft Oreo again. Confusingly, they ran the Oreo sandwich cookie during the first week of the year, January 2-6, 2024, which tends to be one of the slowest weeks of the year due to New Years resolutions.
Since then, the Mallow Sandwich ft Oreo has not been nearly as popular as the first two launches. This has been the ongoing trend at Crumbl. When they launch a new dessert or cookie, it sells extremely well as customers want to try something new. Every subsequent time after their first launch, sales decline. Some cookies have seen sales decline quite a bit because they have been on the rotating menu so many times.

The Oreo Mallow Sandwich Crumbl cookie has not run on the main menu since August of 2022. All of 2023 has seen no sandwich style cookies on the main menu. Some of the testers and mystery cookies include Oreo Mallow Sandwich, Oatmeal Mallow Sandwich and Cereal Milk Sandwich ft Fruity Pebbles.
By Tuesday, August 23rd, 2022 many Crumbl Cookies stores were sold out of the Mallow Sandwich ft Oreos. There are dozens of posts on Reddit discussing this cookie being sold out and it is only Tuesday. Something that customers must understand is that if the app says sold out that does not necessarily mean that particular Crumbl Cookies store is out of ingredients or product for the entire week. There is a possibility that there was a order of 50 Mallow Sandwich cookies and the store ran out for a brief time. Before getting disappointed, it might be a good idea to go to the store or call the store and ask them if they are out of the ingredients or just out for a short amount of time.
We heard the Mallow Sandwich ft Oreo were sold out in many Crumbl Cookies stores in Indiana, Ohio, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. It is very likely that most of these stores will have more Mallow Sandwich ft Oreo by Wednesday or Thursday of this week in August 2022.
