It has been spoiled that the North Carolina Lemon Pie limited time offer (LTO) dessert will be on the Crumbl Cookies rotating menu from July 21-26, 2025. Many are asking what makes North Carolina Lemon Pie different from a traditional Lemon Pie. The answer is the saltine crust. Some people make the crust with Ritz crackers but ultimately the crust is more saltine based.
Here is a review from a customer that was able to test out The North Carolina Lemon Pie dessert:
The pie filling and whipped cream was good on the North Carolina Lemon Pie but I didn’t care for the taste of the crust, I’ve had the key lime pie and I enjoyed the crust on that one but this one tasted different. They also forgot my lemon slice but it was very lemony without it. (The store was slightly busy and a couple was also crowding the pickup counter for no reason so I’m not worried about a tiny lemon slice)
Their (Crumbl Cookies’) version of this lemon pie is more commonly known as Atlantic Beach Pie, which has a saltine/Ritz crust.
