UPDATE: Crumbl Cookies will be running Wedding Cake during the week of January 15-21, 2024. It will be interesting to see if they have fixed the frosting and coloring issues.
Crumbl makes multiple bags of frosting as they mix a single or double batch that yields up to 10-15 bags of frosting. The frosting then goes into the refrigerator for up to 72 hours. When the frosting sits in the refrigerator, it must be microwaved for 20-40 seconds so it can be warm enough to spread on cookies when ordered by customers. There has been quite the “chatter” about this cookie as the frosting has been different colors and mixes differently at each location. The issue is there are two types of frosting that “mix” in the piping bag when they are heated up in the microwave. It is nearly impossible to keep the two colors separate if the frosting has been put in the refrigerator. This is what an employee is quoted as saying, “this frosting is the death of all employees. What happens if the frosting is handled too much it blends.. if warmed up to pipe easier, it blends , if too much pressure is squeezed out of the bag, it blends! This frosting is somehow worse than the lemon cookie a few weeks ago that had two, at least that was a c swirl.”
Here is another comment from an employee, “The reason why it’s so inconsistent is because we have to put two different icing in the piping bag, and the variation depends on who’s filling the bag, who’s piping the frosting, how much pressure is applied, how long it sat out, etc. It’s not a good thing, but I hope this explains it a bit. Near the beginning of the bag I would get more pinky cookies, and near the end they would be mostly white. Based on the instructions we were given at my store, pic 1 is the most accurate.”

The latest spoilers state that Wedding Cake was moved from June 5th-10th to June 26th – July 1st, 2023. The Reddit spoilers claim that Wedding Cake will be on the Crumbl menu June 5th-10th, 2023. It will likely be very, very popular as most cake cookies do well at Crumbl.
Today, we got to read these amazing words, “My tester cookie today was Wedding Cake 🍰 a vanilla bean cookie with raspberry cream cheese frosting and white chocolate pearls 🤍😍”. And then we got to read this too, “This was in Simpsonville, SC 😊 it was definitely worth it!! It was my free birthday cookie. Well spent!”
Sometimes it takes a few months for these tester cookies to hit all stores and sometimes it takes just a few weeks. With the popularity of this cookie as a tester, we are certain we are going to see Wedding Cake at a Crumbl Cookies store near you by the summer of 2023.
