Beetlejuice “Afterlife” Cake (LTO) Crumbl Dessert

Here are some taste reviews for the Beetlejuice “Afterlife” Cake at Crumbl Cookies locations:

  • I absolutely loved it. Devil’s food is my favorite of course so it wasn’t hard for me to love it. But I was smart enough to take one sliver of this cake and then let my stepson eat the rest. The nutritional values are insane… but glad I tried it
  • I tried and honestly so many regular grocery stores have cakes with the same taste for like 1/4 price. Crumbl cookies beat grocery stores cookies all the time that’s why I give them so much money lol but this cake didn’t beat other cakes imo
  • Not impressed with the Afterlife cake at all. Pretty subpar, the frosting to cake ratio is off and the whole thing was just boring. I think Crumbl should stick to cookies and leave the other desserts alone.
  • Agreed, I was heavily disappointed after eating it. There’s literally no flavor to it at all. The cake is essentially photo ready for instagram, and that’s it.
  • Most of their ltos are great. Not liking this one doesn’t negate everything else they put out. You don’t need to eat every cake or cookie. People that complain about not having 6 new cookies every week is insane to me. Again, no reason to stuff your face every week and every week they come out with new flavors or bring back old ones…like you can be patient and just wait 7 days lol.
  • I rate it a 0/10 on taste. It’s cute though.

A Crumbl employee that baked this and tried it on Saturday, August 31, 2024 said, “it is very similar to devils food cake, and said if you don’t like rich chocolate, then you probably won’t like this.”

Also, a Crumbl employee “tried the frosting a couple days ago and it made it look like she had a gap in her teeth which was pretty funny.” Unlike other dense Crumbl LTO desserts, this cake is supposed to be super fluffy. It’s a little bigger than a cupcake and the first layer just has a circle of icing on the edge

From September 2-7, 2024 Crumbl will run a special partnership Limited Time Offer (LTO) cake which will be a collab with the Beetlejuice team. The “Afterlife” Cake is “a dark chocolate double layered cake with dark chocolate and cream cheese frosting swirled with vanilla cream cheese.” It will be interesting to see how many calories this cake has.
